Dear Journey Church friends and family,

We have spent a lot of time in prayer over you and your family as we are in unprecedented times. With the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the incredible speed at which things are changing around us, we are continually adapting the ministry of Journey Church. With recent restrictions from the CDC, I personally wanted to ensure that every person who calls Journey Church home is informed on an ongoing basis, including you.

Caring for you continues to be our top priority. Our Pastors and staff are working tirelessly and with such passion to care for you. Right now, they are creating ways to serve our community in ramped up ways as well as planning how we can reach thousands with the hope of Jesus. I really do believe this can be the Church’s finest hour! We will not shrink back, but we will advance.

Recently the CDC has issued recommendations, which are in compliance with the mandate set forth by the President. The declaration limits the size of gatherings to no more than 10 people.

This means a few things for us:

1. All in person services are suspended, and we’re taking the gospel online.

Effective immediately, all adult, kids and youth services will move online for the time being. We are working hard to rethink how we can make these services interactive, engaging and full of hope and God’s presence.

As you are attending online, will you please hit the “share” button on Facebook. Post a comment and say hello. Let us know that you’re watching. You can even give me a good “amen”.

5. Give.

At Journey Church, we believe a significant part of our worship each week happens when we honor the Lord with our resources. We encourage you to use our online options at https://www.journeychurchdfw.com/giving/ This is a great opportunity to set up recurring giving to make your regular giving easier.

6. Sunday’s message “Blessed Assurance.”

This weekend I really believe I have a message from God for you and I’m asking you as your Pastor to make plans to attend online. I’ve entitled it “Blessed Assurance.” This is a message that you and all your friends need to hear.

So regardless if you attend church regularly or maybe you’ve gotten out of the habit of being in church, why not make a decision right now to join me on Sunday, at one of our two service options and see what God has up His giant sleeve for you? I promise you won’t regret it.

Glenda and I look forward to seeing you online.

I love being your Pastor,

Pastor Jeff
