Tell us about your family: Married to Samantha. Through her, I found Christ, and she is the one who encourages me and has supported every crazy thought, idea, or dream I have pursued. We have two amazing kids who are both in college - Wyatt and Tatum. Wyatt will soon be graduating from SAGU - pursuing Youth Ministry. Tatum is pursuing Law and would like to make a difference against sex trafficking and those affected.

When and where did you get saved? I do not memorialize key events well, but I do know it was approximately the Spring of either 2007 or 2008. It was just a normal Sunday for most, but after 7-8 years of regular church attendance, I encountered God and have never looked back.

What is your regular order at a Coffee shop? Coffee. Just coffee. Black.

Who are the people that inspire you? Veteran ministry leaders and U.S. Military veterans. Both have experience, grit, determination, and wisdom beyond their years. I am drawn to leaders that live what they teach. I seek to emulate practical instruction that is based on biblical truth.

What is one thing that most people don't know about you? I was offered an academic scholarship to college in high-school
but did not go. I had my reasons, and none of them were good.

Do you have any weird quirks? I have a hard time just sitting still. I tap a foot, or bounce both feet on the ground. I also bob my head to the left at times when speaking/preaching.

What is your least favorite thing to do? Shop.

What is your hidden talent? I am often told I should do stand-up comedy. I also do a fairly decent Hank Hill impersonation.

What makes you laugh? Everything. If it makes you cringe, I probably laugh. I think it is a gift, but my wife would completely disagree.

What is your biggest fear? Being thrown in prison while traveling abroad.

Favorite Scripture: Romans 8:1 - So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus (NLT).

Favorite Books: Fiction: Jack Reacher novels. Non-Fiction: In Light of Eternity, biography of Leonard Ravenhill.

Favorite Movies/TV Shows: Man on Fire/Law and Order SVU.

Dream vacation: Cruise around the globe - 30+ ports over 6 months.
